*Purpose: The purpose of this study is to assess the incidence of early career publications of solid organ transplant (SOT) clinical pharmacists and to describe research training and new practitioner research experiences.

*Methods: A 53-question electronic survey was distributed through three SOT pharmacy listservs. Responses were accepted 11/1-11/28/2021. Eligible respondents were SOT pharmacists who completed specialty training (postgraduate year 2 [PGY2] or fellowship) 2015 to 2021. The primary outcome was incidence of early career publications. Secondary outcomes described residency and new practitioner research experiences.

*Results: A total of 92 individuals (including partial responses) were analyzed (36.9% response rate). A majority of respondents were female (73.9%), completed PGY2 training only (93.5%), were 27.7 (SD 2.1) years old at program graduation, and serve as clinical specialists with inpatient and outpatient roles (67.4%). Peer-reviewed publication of the primary SOT training project was 34.6% (28/81 responders). Research training and experiences are depicted in Table 1. Perceptions and perceived barriers on the research process during training varied (Figure 1A and 1B). Within their jobs, research and/or QAPI participation was common (83.3%, 65/78 responders), and 42.31% (33/78 responders) achieved peer-reviewed publication as new practitioners. Different factors were associated with early career publication achievement (Table 2 and Figure 1C). Protected time (21.8%, 17/78 responders) and formal research mentorship (7.7%, 6/78 respondents) were uncommon but did not alter early career publication success.

*Conclusions: Research is a common component of the SOT pharmacist training and job landscape, yet experiences are heterogenous for support and structure guiding these endeavors and influencing their eventual success.
